Bookshop.org gift cards are 100% digital, making them a thoughtful gift for any occasion—or the perfect last-minute present when time is short. Every gift card purchased helps support hardworking local bookshops and the vital role they play in our communities.
Please note that Bookshop.org gift cards can currently be redeemed for physical books only and cannot be used to purchase ebooks.

How Gift Cards Work
- We deliver gift cards by email – instantly or on a scheduled date
- Add a personal message – it’ll appear in the recipient’s email
- Gift cards are valid for 2 years from the delivery date
- There are no hidden fees on Bookshop.org gift cards
- Gift cards are digital-only and must be sent to a valid email address
- You can buy multiple gift cards by adding them one at a time to your basket
Redemption Details
- Gift cards can only be redeemed online at https://uk.bookshop.org/
- They cannot be used directly in physical bookshops
- All gift cards are issued in Pound Sterling (£)
- When redeemed, the value is added to the recipient’s Bookshop.org account balance as “store credit”

Important Information
- At the moment, our gift cards cannot be redeemed on ebook purchases, only on physical items
- Gift cards are non-refundable
- They are valid only on the UK version of Bookshop.org
- Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and are not usable on our US website or directly in stores.
