Mystery/Thriller

Mystery and thriller books are the literary version of playing detective while someone’s holding a stopwatch—and a knife. You’ll meet unreliable narrators who swear they’re innocent (they’re not), small towns where everyone has a secret (and a shovel), and plot twists that hit harder than a coffee table in the dark. Just when you’ve got it all figured out, the author grins, pulls the rug, and reveals that the butler isn’t the killer—he’s the victim’s long-lost twin brother who’s been framing the gardener since chapter two. Sleep is overrated anyway. So lock the doors, brew something strong, and try to outsmart a book that’s already ten steps ahead. Spoiler alert: you won’t. But you’ll have a fantastic time failing.
